5) Based on your answers to the questions above, how do you wish to grow/ change as a person / student second semester? What steps do you have to take to achieve that growth?
I want to change to a better student that hands in my homework, assignments and projects on time. I will pay more attention in class and ask the teacher about the things that I do not understand. I will revise for all my test and exams a week before or even way before. I do not want to disappoint myself, my parents, my teachers and those who has high hopes on me. I will write down notes for self revisions as it will be easier for me to understand as I write it in my own words.I will also study with a group of my friends together. I would like to plan a time table for myself as I would be busy having meetings, CCAs and extra classes in school, so I can manage my time well.I will get bored with lessons very easily, so I need to pay more attention than the others.

4) Think back to a time over the past semester when you faced a challenge or made a big mistake. (a bad grade on something, letting your benchmarks pile up until the last minute, etc.) What sorts of lessons did you learn about yourself from that challenge and/ or mistake? How did this influence the way you did things after the moment? In the ways does this experience help you to plan for the next semester?
For the last semester, I did not work hard enough for the examinations.I spent a lot of time on outings, computer and television. I only spent like less than a hour to revise for my work, so when I got back my result, I was disappointed. I told my parents about my results and they told me to work harder next time. Now, I know that I should not waste time on the not so important things when the exams are coming and when there is tests coming up. I would revise everything I should for the tests and exams like a week or two weeks before. In order to get good results, hard work is what I need the most. Without hard work, I will get nothing.

3)What are your thoughts about having to do projects in every subject? In what ways are project-type assessments more difficult, interesting, challenging, or meaningful than traditional ways of showing what you know? Cite an example or two to support your answer.
I think that projects are very interesting. We need team work in order to finish the project properly and on time. I would prefer projects than homework because when we are doing projects, more people are thinking, so it will be much more better than the work you do on your own. Having projects in every subject would be too much for us. I think teachers should not give us all the projects on the same time as we will be too busy and we might not have the time to come together to do the projects everyday. I think doing project is better than the traditional ways of showing what we know because we can show it in different ways like PowerPoint presentation or in videos. It would be very boring for teachers to teach us everything in the book as we can read it on our own already, so they should have different ways of teaching.

2) Describe one goal that you set for yourself in September. What steps have you taken? Where and how have you met the goal? Where and how have you fallen short ? And how will you proceed toward the goal in the second semester ?
The goal that I have set for myself is to do well or do better for my Maths in the End-of-Year Examinations. The steps that I have taken are:
1) Pay more attention to the teacher when he / she is teaching.
2) Do more revision at home during my free time.
3) Ask the teacher if I do not understand the question or the chapter.
4) Study together in small groups with my friends.
However, I did not do very well in the End-of-Year examinations, as I did not managed to do all of them. Another thing is that I did not manged my time very well. For the next semester, I would pay attention in class and ask the teacher if I am not clear with anything. I may plan a timetable for myself. I want to achieve much better results for my upcoming tests and exams.

I wish to change to a better student and achieve better results. I will learn from my mistakes and make notes or mindmaps to help me revise and cut down on my leisure time. I know that studies are important as it determinds out future. I will also pay more attention in class and ask questions if i have any doubts.

I made a big mistake in doing last minute revision and not putting enough effort in my work. When i got back my results, i was angry with myself as i knew that i could do better. My parents were disappointed but they encouraged me to work harder. I sleep late the night before the exams and hence, i feel tired when i'm doing the paper. I quickly rush through and put my head on the table to rest. I will try to learn from my mistakes.

1) what talents (new or hidden) have you learned/ discovered about yourself this semester ?
During my primary school times, I always wanted to learn DnT. I never had a chance to learn or know what is DnT about, until when I was in Secondary 1. I found out that I actually enjoyed and love having DnT lessons as it is very fun and interesting. I did not know that I can cut and drill quite well. I always looked forward to the very next DnT lesson as I will be able to do and learn more in class. I also thought of taking DnT for secondary 3. I would be able to make a lot of different things every year. I also learned how things worked during DnT. DnT is a subject that I love and I think that it is interesting.
