This chapter shows that karana's father(Chowig) is very determined.He did not give up easily even he was hurt badly.In real live,If for example if you are the head of the group,and you are badly injured,you will just give up.In this case Karana's father(Chowig) did not give up.He was so determined that even he was badly injured he fought for his man.In real live,it is different to find a man like this.

Indeed, his actions stems from his love for his tribe. Perhaps Karana picked up that self sacrificing trait from his father too. What do you think? Are there other similarities that you can think of between the father and daughter?
I agree.It is very difficult to find a man like this though his was going to die.
You can probably say that Chief Chowig is very brave. He sacrifice himself for his tribe and even got killed in the end.
Karana acts the responsible actions like his father, chief chowig.
