Chief Chowig:He was a very responsible and was willing to fight to the end for his tribe.He was a loyal and brave man.

Karana:The main character of the story and she was watching the fight between the aleuts and the villagers from a brush at a cliff.She also knew her father well because she knew her father's temper very well.

A sentence to show that karana knew her father's temper:'Not yet,'I said. 'When he's really angry,he pulls his ear.'

The aleuts:Unreasonable people and would not follow what they promised Chief Chowig.They even faught with Chief Chowig and ran off with the otter after killing and injuring the villagers.

He knew that he was a Chief and it is his duty to protect his village so he personally went to have a talk with Captain Orlor.(Responsible person , leadership quality , brave and loyal to his village)

He order his men to attack Chief Chowig 's village as he think that fighting can solve the problem.(violent , cunning , mean)

The tribe was just like a big family, they were very united, all of them decided to leave the village, not leaving anyone behind. They were just like a big family who will stay close together no matter what happened. Also, the warriors do not even gave up when they were forced backwards to the cliffs instead they fought until the end. This kind of spirit are very hard to find nowdays, the people nowdays always give up halfway when they feel that the journey is very diffcult and do not wish to carry on again. After that, they will feel very dishearten and upset. They have never cross their mind that that if they carry on till the end, they may success.
