In the real world killing of otter was against the law,but in the island of blue dolphins it is not againts the law.spear are also replace by guns in the real world.However guns are not own by people ,only for job that are dangerous like police force.If people that fails to give the things that they paid for,they are not killed but to be taken to the police office.

I think the Russians have guns are very normal because they are parites or they looked like pirates, they did not want pay the full money , if they are not parite ,WHAT ARE THEY ??
They are soldiers as they are selfish and stingy so they did not want to pay the full price
